All persons desiring to vote must be registered. Voter Registration is available at any Secretary of State office as well as City Hall. In order to vote in an election you must register at least 30 days prior to the election. A new State of Michigan requirement states that your Voter Registration Address MUST match your Driver's License Address.
Requirements for becoming a Registered Voter in the City of Grand Blanc are:
- You must be at least 18 years of age or turn 18 in the 30 day period preceding the election.
- You must be a United States citizen.
- You must be a City of Grand Blanc resident.

VOTING LOCATIONS (POLLS)
The City of Grand Blanc is divided into four (4) precincts.
Indian Hill, Applegate Condominiums, the area between Indian Hill and Applegate Lane, Perry Creek, Kings Pointe Greens (City portion only) and the northeast area of the City.
All addresses west of Saginaw Street including Grand Oak Subdivision, Hawthorne Glen, Country House Apartments, Stone Hollow Subdivision, Grand Meadows Apartments and Clover Ridge ( City portion only)
Bella Vista and Kirkridge Subdivisions, Kirkridge Condominiums, Bella Vista and Sunset Apartments
Riverbend East, Riverbend West, Kings Pointe (City portion only), Riverbend Apartments, Perry Place and Grand Bend Club Apartments
When the City of Grand Blanc is administering the election, the following are the two (2) polling locations:
Precincts 1, 2 & 4 vote at the Grand Blanc Senior Activity Center - 12632 Holly Road
Precinct 3 votes at the Fire Hall - 117 High Street
Polling locations are open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM on ELECTION DAY for voting purposes. If the voter is unable to attend the polls on election day, and meets certain requirements, the voter may receive an absentee ballot prior to election day by contacting the City Clerk's office at (810) 694-1118 or at 203 E. Residents who require an Absentee Voter Ballot should keep the following facts in mind:
- If you have requested to be on the Permanent Absentee Voter List, you will automatically receive an Application for an Absentee Voter Ballot in the mail.
- If you are over 60 years or permanently unable to attend your polling place, you may request to be placed on the Permanent Absentee Voter List by calling City Hall at 694-1118.

- You must sign the application and return it to City Hall either personally or by mail before an Absentee Voter Ballot can be issued to you.
- If you bring the application in, your ballot may be issued to you immediately while you are here.
- If you would like to come to City Hall to receive your Absentee Voter Ballot, and have not previously received an application, an application will be given to you to sign at that time. It is not necessary to have an application before you arrive.
- By law, a ballot may only be given to the voter it is issued to. Therefore, voters may NOT pick up ballots for spouses, neighbors, etc.
- You may request and receive an APPLICATION for someone else.
- You may RETURN a ballot for someone else.
- If you choose to mail in your signed application, a ballot will be issued to you and mailed to the address indicated on your application. Please allow enough time before the election to request the ballot, so that you can receive it and return it to City Hall by the day before the election.
- After receiving your ballot – either in person or by mail - you may either return it personally to City Hall, place it in the after-hours drop box outside the front door, or mail it.
- Make sure to sign the outside envelope of your Absentee Voter Ballot. Unsigned ballots are not valid and will not be counted.
- The last day to request an Absentee Ballot is the day before the election, however no ballots may leave City Hall at that time. All Absentee Ballots issued the day before the election MUST be voted at City Hall.
- Absentee Voter Ballots must be received at City Hall by the day before the election or may be taken to your precinct on Election Day to be counted.
- Late ballots are not counted.
